Fee & Dispute Disclosures
At One Choice Insurance Brokers, we believe customers should understand the costs associated with their insurance coverage and know how to address billing concerns or service-related disputes. This page explains applicable fees, payment arrangements, complaint procedures, and how disputes are handled.
Insurance Premiums and Brokerage Fees
Insurance premiums are determined by the insurance carrier based on factors such as the type of coverage, business operations, insured risks, policy limits, and underwriting requirements.
As an independent insurance brokerage, One Choice Insurance Brokers may receive commissions from insurance carriers for arranging coverage. Separate brokerage or service fees may also apply, depending on the services provided and applicable agreements.
Any applicable brokerage fees, payment obligations, and refund conditions will be disclosed in accordance with relevant laws and contractual requirements. Customers should review their quotes, policy documents, and fee agreements before accepting coverage.
Additional Charges and Billing Arrangements
Depending on the insurance policy and payment arrangement, customers may encounter additional charges, including:
-
Installment fees: Charges associated with paying premiums through scheduled installments.
-
Premium financing charges: Interest or service fees under a separate financing agreement.
-
Policy modification charges: Applicable costs associated with certain policy changes or endorsements.
-
Cancellation charges: Fees or premium adjustments resulting from early policy termination.
These charges are not necessarily imposed by One Choice Insurance Brokers. Some may be assessed by insurance carriers, financing companies, or other service providers.
Billing schedules, payment methods, and any automatic payment arrangements are governed by the applicable policy or payment agreement. Customers remain responsible for outstanding premiums and authorized charges under those agreements.
Fee Transparency and Customer Responsibilities
Customers are encouraged to review all insurance quotations and related documents carefully before making payments.
Where applicable, fee disclosures will identify the nature of brokerage charges, relevant payment conditions, and whether those charges are refundable.
If a customer notices an unexpected charge, payment discrepancy, or unclear billing item, they should contact our office for clarification.
Insurance coverage is not automatically established by submitting a payment inquiry or requesting a quote. Coverage becomes effective only when properly bound or confirmed by an authorized party.
Customer Complaints and Disputes
We encourage customers to contact One Choice Insurance Brokers regarding concerns about brokerage services, billing discrepancies, policy documentation, or fees.
Complaints may be submitted by email or phone. To help us identify and review the matter, please provide:
-
Your full name and business name.
-
Insurance carrier and policy number, if applicable.
-
A clear description of the complaint or disputed charge.
-
Relevant invoices, payment records, or supporting documents.
-
Your preferred contact information.
Customers should avoid sending sensitive financial information through unsecured communications.
How Disputes Are Reviewed
When a complaint is submitted, One Choice Insurance Brokers will review the information available and determine the appropriate next steps.
The review may involve examining billing records, insurance documents, fee agreements, and communications related to the disputed matter.
Where necessary, we may coordinate with the insurance carrier, premium financing company, or other responsible provider to obtain clarification.
Following the review, we will communicate available findings and explain any applicable correction, adjustment, or further action.
The time required to address a dispute may vary depending on its complexity, the information needed, and the involvement of third parties.
Unresolved Complaints and Further Assistance
If a concern remains unresolved, customers may request further clarification or pursue available complaint procedures through the appropriate insurance carrier or regulatory authority.
Customers may also contact the California Department of Insurance regarding insurance-related complaints or concerns involving brokerage practices.
Nothing in these disclosures limits any rights or remedies available under applicable law. Where a separate agreement contains enforceable dispute-resolution provisions, those terms may also apply.
Billing Disputes and Insurance Coverage
Submitting a billing complaint does not automatically suspend premium obligations, prevent cancellation for nonpayment, or extend insurance coverage.
Customers should continue following applicable payment requirements while their concerns are being reviewed. Any approved refund, billing correction, or premium adjustment will be handled according to the relevant agreement and governing law.
For policy cancellations or refunds, please refer to our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy for additional information.
